Karen Hewes grew up in Connecticut, leaving for the Boston area to attend college. She graduated from Northeastern University, Magna Cum Laude, and Suffolk University Law School. While in law school she clerked for the Honorable Elspeth Cypher at the Massachusetts Appeals Court, worked on Suffolk University’s police misconduct project in conjunction with the ACLU and worked in Suffolk University’s Landlord-Tenant Clinical Program, representing indigent tenants in eviction proceedings. After graduation Karen was admitted to both the Massachusetts Bar and New Hampshire Bar in 2010. In her spare time Karen enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with time with her husband, Michael, and reading fiction.
