Luke is a committed and compassionate special education lawyer. He is an experienced advocate that has represented the most vulnerable members of his community: indigent criminal defendants as a public defender, Soldiers as a Judge Advocate General and now, children with Special Needs. He is also experienced in project and case management. Luke’s legal training is supplemented by personal experience dealing with the special education system on behalf of his own child. Because of this experience and interest, he has dedicated his legal practice to helping students with special needs and their families.
In his private legal practice, Luke previously focused on land use, real estate and corporate matters. Luke also worked in the public sector as a criminal defense attorney with the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office and worked in the Civil Bureau of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, advising state agencies, boards and commissions.
Luke is a graduate of The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School and is a Judge Advocate General Officer licensed to practice before military tribunals. He is currently a Captain in the New Hampshire Army National Guard.
Luke meets with new clients and helps parents find meaningful educational programs and opportunities for their children. Luke works closely with educational consultants, neuropsychologists, evaluators and educational professionals. He not only knows the current law but shares his knowledge of existing schools, programs and services in order to effectively guide parents, in what can otherwise be an overwhelming process. Luke brings a unique mix of social work, special education and law to his work and is passionate about helping empower parents to advocate for their children.
